Gary Heatherington
Chairman of the Board
Gary Heatherington brings more than 27 years of management and board experience in financial services, payment systems, eCommerce, retail and manufacturing to MODASolutions. Gary has been CEO of Cyota Inc., President and CEO of Bank One Canada, President and CEO of Maestro Canada, President of MasterCard's Canada Division and Executive Vice President of Global Markets for MasterCard International. In addition to a number of senior management roles, Gary has sat on a number of private and corporate boards. Today, Gary is chairman of Paradata Systems Inc. and chair for the Audit Committee and Conduct Review Committee for First Data Loan Company Canada.
Marwan Forzley
Marwan Forzley is the founder and CEO of MODASolutions and has been the driving force behind the company's strategic vision and partnerships. Marwan is the creator of eBillme™ (formerly SECURE-eBill), a payment option that enables consumers to shop online and pay directly from their online banking accounts. Marwan is respected as an expert in alternative payments, articulating the evolving dynamics of the industry with major publications including: Internet Retailer, Forbes, Business Week, American Banker, Associated Press, CNN Radio and eCommerce Times among others. Prior to founding MODASolutions, Marwan was Director of Business Development at Nokia, where he focused on large-scale eCommerce infrastructure, mobile payments and content delivery. Before joining Nokia, Marwan acted as product and solution manager at ViennaSystems, a startup that was eventually acquired by Nokia. He is also founder and first chair of the e-Business Cluster and the Ottawa Wireless Cluster.
Steve Hawco
Steve Hawco is Senior Vice President of eCommerce for Group RCI, a Wyndham Worldwide Company. Steve joins the MODASolutions Board of Directors with over 12 years of eCommerce experience. Prior to Group RCI, Steve was Vice President of the LEGO Group. During his tenure with the LEGO Group, the company’s direct to consumer concepts were founded and today are represented by the LEGO Club, a continuity and loyalty program reaching millions of LEGO families globally, and LEGO Shop at Home, a global multi-channel direct to consumer channel marketing and sales channel. Steve holds an MBA in Finance and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut. He is a past member of the DMA, Shop.org and New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA).
Maha Ibrahim
Maha Ibrahim joined Canaan’s Menlo Park office in March 2000 and focuses on digital media, networking and wireless investments. A thought leader with deep insight into which business models will disrupt the status quo, Maha has won numerous industry awards, including The Silicon Valley Business Journal 40 Under 40 award. At Canaan, Maha helped to negotiate and manage a partnership between Tacit Networks and Brocade, and established Canaan as a lead investor in Mobilitec and Mino Wireless. Maha also led the firm’s investments in PicksPal and Watercooler, both leading community applications via social networking platforms. Prior to joining Canaan, Maha held numerous executive-level roles at Qwest Communications, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of eBusiness and Internet Operations. While at Qwest, her keen networking skills helped the company forge relationships with Netscape and Microsoft. She currently sits on the boards of eBillme, Mino Wireless, SenSage, Watercooler and Virsto. Previous board seats include Tacit Networks (acquired by Packeteer) and Mobilitec (acquired by Lucent). Maha is an active member of the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures by connecting ideas, technology and people.
Pierre-André Meunier, P.Eng.
Prior to joining Celtic House, Pierre-André was a general partner at GTI Capital where he was involved in venture capital investments in the technology sector. He began his career as an entrepreneur in his own e-commerce start-up and has been involved in the entrepreneurial community ever since. Pierre-André has been instrumental in building strategic partnerships while actively involved in a full range of company building activities by serving in senior executive roles including President & CEO of Codagen Technologies, and Executive Vice President of ISR Technologies. Through his various venture capital and operational backgrounds, Pierre-André has developed an astute knowledge of the challenges that today’s entrepreneurs are facing.
