Role and Responsibilities:
The position of Software Quality Assurance/Tester reports to the Director of Software Development and is responsible for:
- Assisting in the effective use and enhancements to our unit test framework and our collection of tests
- Following, and helping to define and evolve, the development processes and guidelines to be used by the team and to drive quality into all of our development processes
- Learning the technologies chosen by the team for the product, and becoming proficient in testing them
- Becoming a driving force in the effective QA process of the product
- Design, develop and operate an automated regression testing system
- Striving for excellence in the definition, implementation, documentation and testing of the software product
- Initiate and drive best QA practices within software development through continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 4+ years web application testing is required.
- Automated testing experience is required.
- Proven track record in writing testplans based on project requirements / design is required.
- Web Services test experience is an asset.
- Linux and database experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills are required
