Some loyalty programs are awesome and you can really cash in; meanwhile, other rewards and loyalty programs are more work than they are worth.

Here are a few guidelines to consider when looking at store rewards and loyalty programs:

1 Store Only: many programs are specific to 1 store only. So if you like to shop at different stores, you need to manage many different programs, and loyalty accounts. And it can take a long time to accumulate enough points from 1 store, to actually redeem.

Black Out Periods: Many airline programs have black out time times where you cannot redeem frequent flyer or loyalty points. What is the point of collecting the points, if you can never redeem for something you actually want? Stores do this as well, where you may not be able to redeem points on new collections or top brands.

Mega Points – Minor Stuff. Watch out for the programs which require high redemption values, like 10,000 points = a beach ball!! It will take forever to earn enough points and be able to redeem for something you actually like.

Tips for the best rewards program.

Cash Back: Forget air miles or store points which you’ll never redeem. Look for programs that offer cash back.

Cash out Fast: Select programs where you can cash out fast. For instance, with eBillme, you can cash out when you have earned $10.

Wide Net: Avoid exclusives/1 store programs; look for a program which allows you to earn points at many stores. This will allow you to earn more points and redeem faster.

Automatic: Choose programs which automatically earn you rewards. Some stores make you set up an account and enter a reward card # at every purchase – so you have to keep all these cards handy. Forget this - select a program which automatically tracks your points.

Reminder: Do you forget which accounts you have and what the balance is? Look for a program which reminds you of your rewards balance, ideally a monthly email statement.

The eBillme Cash Back Rewards Programs follows all of these guidelines – and offers an amazing, FREE program, which you can truly leverage and get value out of.

You can earn up to cash back at over 800 online retailers, including: <a
