Standing in the midst of History at Kennedy Space Center

Every day during my NASA Tweetup journey, while driving to the press site at Kennedy Space Center we would pass this giant building with a large NASA logo on the front. We all knew the building, the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building). This building of hallowed ground is where every space shuttle is built and assembled. Shuttles like Apollo 8, Apollo 13, Endeavor, and so many more. It is also where the shuttle is held until time to roll it on the crawler out to the launch pad.

eBillme blogger chosen for NASA launch

Out of hundreds of applicants, NASA chose 150 social media lovers to travel down to Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida for the launch of the STS-133 and a NASA Tweetup. I am one of the 150! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about this adventure. I have never seen a launch live and never thought I’d be able to see it the way I am about to in just a few days.
