Q3 2010 Online Spending Data and Back To School Spending Outlook
The last eBillme Online Spending Index showed that American shoppers plan to spend 8% more online compared to Q2 2010 and 20% more than in Q3 2009 - the biggest increase since eBillme began collecting data.
This quarter, consumers were surveyed about their spending projections for Back To School.
- 17 percent plan to spend more on back to school supplies this year.
- 17 percent plan to shop online for back to school supplies this year.
- On average, shoppers plan to spend a total of $516.96, both online and offline, on back to school items.
- Consumers plan to spend the most on clothing for back to school, at $96.28
- 14 percent plan to spend more online for back to school supplies this year compared to last year.
