
In a recent announcement,
Buy.com. declared that it will be extending some of its return policies by 15 days. Whereas users previously had 30 days to return unwanted or broken items, they will now have up to 45 days to make their returns, reports InternetRetailer.com.
While the new return policy does not apply to the
Buy.com. marketplace as of yet, merchants that sell their products through that section of the site will soon have the option to implement the new 45-day policy .
"We recognize that consumers today have more responsibilities and lead busier lives than ever," Neel Grover, president of
Buy.com., told the news source. "Extending our return policy saves them time and money, and offers more peace-of-mind about purchases."
Buy.com. was recently purchased by the Japanese company Rakuten. Grover went on to tell the news provider that this is one measure of many that Rakuten will implement to better serve their customer base.
