Two thirds of tech shoppers turned to the internet to find out more information about the products they were buying, and just over half of those who began their research online ended up purchasing the item via the web.
The research also indicates that those who do end up purchasing on the web typically buy their item within seven weeks after they began researching the product on the internet. Most consumers surveyed by ComScore said they browse items on the internet because it's easy to compare goods and find pertinent information. More than half the consumers also indicated that online browsing was convenient, the source reports.
