online shopping. website InvisibleHand indicates that workers who are fatigued by the middle of the work weak often turn to the internet retailers in order to relax, according to Bizreport.com.
The report showed a 75 percent spike in internet shopping at 4pm on Wednesday when compared to the quietest time of the week, which is when many Americans are experiencing the end of the mid-week workday.
In addition, the research indicated a 52 percent rise in the amount of people who
shop online. during a typical workday afternoon rather than the morning. On a typical weekday, online traffic figures rose around 11 percent, compared to the morning.
"With workplace stresses and problems, there's little wonder people head online to spend money," Robin Landy, founder of InvisibleHand, told the news source.
Though shopping online can a good way to combat the reduce work related stress, it's essential to protect yourself from online theft when browsing the web. According to the Federal Trade Commission, there are approximately 9 million cases of identity theft in the U.S. every year, so using a secure payment system when shopping online is a smart move.
