shop online. at Kmart may be pleased to know that the retailer has released a new feature to its online store that allows consumers to place an order on the internet and pick up their item at a store.
More than 600 Kmart locations will allow customers to come in for their items after they've placed the order online at
Kmart.com. or Kmart2go, which is available on mobile devices. Items will be available for pick-up the same day they are ordered.
"With the launch of these popular shopping options offered by
Kmart.com., customers have more choices in how they shop for their holiday purchases," said Imran Jooma, president of eCommerce at the store's parent company Sears Holdings. "We're empowering our customers with all the choices they need to make shopping the most convenient for them, wherever they may be."
The new feature may also help customers avoid long lines and crowded stores this holiday season. According to the consumer finance website Wallet Pop,
