Now is the time to start the school year off right by packing healthy lunches, which in turn, will help you save money.
Eat Healthy – Save Money.
Here are a few tips:
1. Pack lunches that kids (and adults) like, so they resist the urge to hit the vending machine, the cafeteria, etc.
2. Develop lunch ideas with your kids. Ask them what fruit they prefer; do they like soup or a sandwich; if they can have one treat, what should it would be. Kids are more likely to eat their lunch if they are involved in the planning.
3. Save money by eating fruits that are in season. The Fall is a great time of apple picking, and kids will be happy to select a nice crisp apple for their lunch.
