Where are credit cards accepted online?

Credit cards are the traditional way of paying for online purchases so most online retailers accept credit cards online. Can you even imagine a world where you don’t use credit cards to pay for your online orders? Dan Schatt, senior analyst with Celent LLC, can. He predicts that “credit card volume will drop below 50 percent of online-payment volume by 2009.“ With credit card payments on the decline Schatt expects that “alternative online payment initiatives will grow to over a quarter of all U.S. online payment volume within the next three years.“
