With concerns about security, and high interest rates, many Americans are investigating how alternative payment options can help them when they’re shopping online.
Cash Based Payment Options:
Cash based payment options let you pay for your online shopping orders with cash. One popular option called eBillme allows you to shop and pay cash with online banking. When you’re shopping online, at the retailer’s payment page you just select eBillme as your payment option. Then you get a copy of your bill on screen. You log in directly to your online banking and pay the bill.
Some other cash based payment options only work with a few banks, while eBillme works at any American financial institution that lets you pay bills online. You can pay your eBill at virtually any credit union, bank, and bill pay portal in the United States.
Checkout Cart Payment Options:
Usually, if you want to use a checkout cart payment option, you first sign up for an account with the payment provider. When signing up you will be asked to enter personal confidential information such as your credit card or bank account number and the payment provider will store that information for you. (Because you’re giving them sensitive information, it’s important to make sure you are dealing with a very reputable checkout cart provider.)
When you go shopping online you’ll see your payment provider’s logo on the cart or payment page at the authorized web site. When you select the payment option, you’ll be directed to a page hosted by your payment provider where you can login and verify your shipping and payment information. In some cases you’ll be redirected back to the retailer’s web site, in others you’ll stay at the payment provider’s until you complete your order. Either way, you finalize your order and it gets shipped to you.
Alternative forms of credit:
Some people are looking for more credit when they’re shopping online. If you’re one of these people, the alternative forms of credit out there may be right for you. These generally allow you to shop online and pay for your transactions later – similar to using a credit card. At the payment page, consumers select their Alternative Credit Provider as their payment option. They are then directed to a credit application page where they are asked for personal information including their social security number and date of birth so that a credit check may be performed. Once you’re approved, the retailer ships the merchandise.
